said by kb6183 : I've been using mine for months as an AP and switch. You are hooking the devices LAN port-to-LAN port, right?
First I connected directly to the 624 via a LAN port, then changed the IP to be in the 192.168.123.XXX range my old barricade uses. Also disabled DHCP since the barricade does that already. After a reboot, I was able to connect wirelessly with multiple devices and I have one machine hard-wired into it. I also set the WAN to a made up static address so it wouldn't try to get an address.
Only problem I have is the quick reboots every time a phone rings
kb6183 is indeed correct. We have 14 of these turkeys running as AP's and switches without difficulty (except for the known problems). |
