I tried it for 2 days,in that time period I had 2 corrupted updates,it slowed my machine down to a stand still..I took the hit,got rid of it.

KAV + RAV is its basis.

KAV is a very thorough scanner, which means it isn't cheap on resources. So that would be my concern.

I haven't tried extendia though.

In my case, I paid for a one year copy from extendia. I heard MS is going to buy them and integrate them in the OS at some point. So I got a copy, well it sucks. Didn’t pick up some keyloogers I had as a test on my USB key when inserted whice Norton did, Resource hog like you wouldn’t believe, and it slows down browsing. I went back to my trusty Norton Corp.
