Major problems with SBC and netgear rt314

I am having issues with the 5100b modem and my netgear router. This problem only happens with the router, without the router, connection is perfectly fine. Heres my problem: When the router is first hooked up the connection is fine until about 10 minutes or some activity. Then I am unable to do anything on the internet unless I restart the modem. The lights on the modem are fine through out this whole issue.

I have tried all the modes. From PPPOE on the modem to bridge and nothing of these methods can solve the problem. Anyone have a clue as to what is going on?

Hmmmm.. Well, since you said it works fine without the router, it must be something goin' on with that ol' netgear.

And you said it happens very consistantly?

Which device is initiating the PPPoE connection?

Is your netgear set for NAT and to automatically accept IP address (DHCP) if it's not set to initiate PPPoE?

Any lease times set at 10 minutes?

(If I'm going too fast, just say so)

And I know you said you tried all modes, but which mode do you normally run in?

It's very consistent.

I tried using the router and modem to initate ppoe

my router is set to automatically accept IP's

I ran all modes equally.
