| reply to rswift Re: SBC-DSL + router = dropped connections
I'm getting the same behavior here. I posted a message last week and only got one reply, from a user who was having the same problem.
I have excellent speed when I'm connected, but I'm experiencing 1 to 4 drops daily according to my monitor log.
I'm using my original 5360 (forgot to ask for a new model when I renewed to Expert Plus in Feb) and a Linksys BEFSR41, both about 14 months old.
I hate to bother the techs over in support, but it doesn't appear anyone here has any suggestions for a problem that seems to be hitting more than a few users lately. |

| I know this is an old topic, but I'm having the same problem here. I posted in another topic, but want to bump this one to the top to see if anyone got around this problem. I have a SpeedStream 5260 modem and a Linksys BEFSR41 router. My connection drops occasionally and I have to power the modem off & back on to get the Linksys to reconnect via PPPoE. Occasionally I will see the same problem with the "network connection unplugged" message in Windows XP. The confusing part is this problem is fairly new. It's only been happening the last month or so, and I've had my DSL service for over two years with no problems using the same modem & router.
Did anyone else find the cause of this problem? |
