| Re: Anyone have a spare maybe someone else has better memory than I do, but these boxes cannot be reconfigured easily at all. The only account I remember is someone in NY setting up servers that simulated DTV's signon (or whatnot) servers. The modem cannot be telnetted into, and the HTTP interface is very limited, almost useless. Everything else you heard is probably an urban myth. | |

DirecTV DSL (not Satellite) is no more(RIP). They had a "DSL Modem" that he is looking for.

| Mine is a clock now. If anyone wants theirs to be made into a clock, it looks pretty cool, and it's easy to do. Go to Wal-Marts, to the hobby section. They sell clock guts there for $4.95 - $9.95. Get the $9.95 one, it looks better IMO. Unscrew the halves of the modem case, and pry it apart. Drill a hole in the face under where it says Telocity (or DirectTV if you signed on late), leaving enough space for the 12 and the second hand to sweep. Install the clock guts, re-attach the face to the other half, and whammo ... you have one stylish clock. -- Honor Indian Treaties | |
