Steam games just CTD after a few minutes, no console errors. Tried the same ports I did before.

This fix is somewhat not applicable to me. My local ISP has a game launcher that launches CS automatically with their own settings. I cannot change the ports as it defaults when the game launches. Any other ways i can do this?

This fix does work if you put it into the launch options and it does work for me. If your using a 3rd party game suck as Natural-selection, you have to put the +clientport 27006 for half-life.

i tried putting it in launch options for DoD. no go. what really sucks is that not all server use the same ports 27015, 27035 etc. so ya have to change it if ya want to play a particular server...
