hmmm.... Im having a though that RasPPPoE could possibly has Worm even though you downloaded it directly from their site... and why so?.. coz i've tried it in Win2KAdvServer, Win2K PRO and same result.. I'm alwaying having a problem from 100%CPU Usage Issue to my Anti-Virus can always detect that Im being infected by IRC/Backdoor.SdBot.28.D Worm Virus as soon as I get connected Online... Im having a thought that this virus triggers when Im online. Anyway.. i have tried the following but having the same WORM VIRUS and 100%CPU USAGE Issue:
-=- I freshly Formatted my HDD. Install Original win2kPRO in it.. then after installing RASPPPoE(downloaded from raspppoe.com) then get Connected Online.. my AVG anti-vir detected that theres a WORM virus in my system32 directory(the exe Worm Virus name is WAUGRD.exe).. when it was quarantined after the detection.. that EXE Worm Files always going back again and again as long that i get connected online.. and i think that something on my system always putting that shit.. yea RASPPPoE is my prime Suspect. |

Arlington, VA | is your system fully patched before you bring it online, or do you have a firewall running? You are likely getting infected because you aren't blocking incoming connections from the internet.
GET A FIREWALL and install it before you connect. |

2 edits | Hello again^_^, heres what I did, the WORM PROBLEM has gone but CPU 100% Usage Issue is still there, plus sometimes i got intermitent connection, meaning sometimes my connection reads on and off.:
- freshly Install Win2KPRO.. program installed are: SP4, BITDEFENDER FIREWALL,and RASPPPoE. Just a few browsing or exploring(my hdd or by WEB),the CPU USAGE got 100%.. it suckz cos my comp hang bit by bit.
after i did the above,i tried this second one.
- freshly install win2k Advance Server... program install are: SP4, BITDEFENDER FIREWALL, and RASPPPoE.. same thing happened as above.
any idea why does this happened?? also a big problem is that intermittent connection sometimes.
BTW, when i say FRESHLY INSTALLED here, it means I already got win98SE installed, then i just delete WIN2K/win2kAdvSvr directory then reinstall again by making my win98se boot to Command prompt.
Also when i say 100% CPU USAGE ISSUE, it means it only happened when i get connected online.
