Err.. Im getting really irritated with this thing. Im trying to switch service providers and I cant becuase this thing is so locked down. I did some experimenting and found that theres a "secret" admin page if you go to "192.168.102.1\admin.html" but all you can do is change dns servers and do a factory reset. I was hoping that a factory reset would unlock the thing giving me options to put in a new username\secret for my asterisk server im setting up. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks |

join:2004-07-16 | Yeah but there has to be settings to setup an account and the sip server. There isnt anyway that it just automatically knows. Keep in mind im not wanting to use vonage with this box. |

You can't switch providers because the MTA is locked? What does the MTA have to do with which provider you select?
If you mean that you'd like to use the MTA with a different provider, no can do. It's a proprietary Vonage box and can't be used with other services.

Not really. Get a new box for your new provider and return the MTA to Vonage. |

join:2004-07-16 | I highly doubt its impossible though. They either use some software or there is a hidden menu. I opened the thing up and there are some jumpers perhaps setting one unlocks the thing.. hopefully not erasing the flash. |

Most likely its firmware, on an EEPROM. I'd even say it's most likely only accessible from the WAN connection. |
