[ Brighthouse] Orlando, FL Connection Issues

Hey guys... I have had problems with my bright house networks cable internet since I moved. I lose connection a lot (five times already in the past four hours) and I often have to reset the modem. I have replaced the router and the modem, and we have had three different tech visits.

Our splitter was replaced on the last visit, and the tech said that the levels going into the modem were fine.

I did a tracert on dslreports.com and here are my results:

I had the same problem with i moved in Clermont. They said my levels were fine as well, but when i replaced the 5-way splitter with a 3 way splitter the problems went away. I also noticed that when switching from the 5 to 3 way splitter my rX signal level doubled.
Hope this helps...

I had the SAME problem, first off I had to get a tech out who replaced my Toshiba with a Terayon, then after still getting packet loss they had me email their speed test department with traceroutes of dropped packets I got a standard form e-mail response but the problem has gone away, so I am thinking they fixed it and just didn't say anything.

Here is my traceroute for comparason:

Probably not what you need but RoadRunner (Brighthouse CFL) newsgroups have been out for about 4 days and RR has no idea when they will be back up.

Lose sync myself whenever I seem to be uploading anything for more then a few secs, even speed tests testing upload speed will cause sync to go out. Had tech out here three weeks ago for same problem, fixed splitter, checked line after and everything was back to normal, until about 3-4days ago when it started again, changed with new splitters again, and problem is unchanged this time.

My tracert to dslreports.com to compare:

Any idea how to check the modem signal levels on the Toshiba modem? I've tried the tricks listed in the forum and I cant seem to get it. Either w/ Docsdiag or http. grrr.. My modem has decided it wasnted to reboot itself over 20 times today. Cutting off while I was using Vonage. Trying to get more info before I call tech support.

BHNUser... TWC has shut off access to the modem's diag pages. No such luck, my friend.
