@mal-cres.charterpipe | I Also have the same 3mb and 256k up and im lucky to run at 30% of the service promised I have had different modems lime noise checks and lots of stories. Still Charter is slow!!! |

I'm willing to bet you run better than 30% of the advertised speed. If not, I guess I'd have to call you crazy for keeping them, even if they are the only game in town. Not only is that service bad business for Charter, but bad budgeting on your part. Just giving that money away. Got some I could have?  |

Yes, as you can see Charter sits in the boottom quadrant of the Good, Bad, Ugly ratings, so your experience looks like the norm alas.
Anyway you might try stopping by the forum, and see if anyone can help there. |

I agree I've had Charter for a few years and my speeds just keep getting better and the price keeps going down, they quote my speed to be 3000 down and 256 up and I tested it at around 2850 down and like 240 up and that's always my speed, I think my connection may have gone out like 2 or 3 times in the last few years and usually it was during a horrible storm. other then that the connection has been quite stable |

I got off of it and switched to Verizon DSL. 1.5Mbit, but what does Charter'$ speed do for you if it is down all the time ?!?!?!! |
