OUCH, only 10.0 Mbps

I own a Cayman 3220-h dls modem/router.

I noticed that my connection speed at any of the computers on the network is only 10.0 Mbps when connected directly to the router.

When connedted to a workgroup switch behind the router my connection speed at the switch is 100 Mbps.

Does this mean that I need a new router that can give me better access speed?

the 3220 has only a 10mbit HUB. this will make NO difference in your internet surf speed, only local file transfers. if you want 100mbit on your lan, get a 10/100 switch, hook all machines to it and then hook it to the 3220.

you do not want to use another router behind the the 3220 unless you use it as a switch only, or you will have many other problems due to double NAT.
