[Kerio 2.x] Delayed Loading Of Firewall at Startup

Using WinXP Pro, Kerio Firewall 2.1.5 has only recently begun loading itself last upon system startup (and Norton Antivirus 2003 AutoProtect is mysteriously disabled until Kerio finally loads up -- about 20 - 30 seconds after all other startup programs have already loaded). It did not exhibit this behaviour before -- always used to load and display the splash screen upon presentation of the Windows Login screen. So far, have been unable to pin down a solution. Have scanned for trojans and virii and come up dry. Tried uninstalling Kerio but it continued this behaviour upon a reinstall.

Most bothersome is that this seems to have started happening out of the blue --it worked properly before, and yes-- it is and always has been set to run as a system service "automatically."

If anyone has come across this themselves and have any suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated.

Relevant system specs:

-Athlon XP 2500+
-Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe (NForce2 Ultra 400)
-512 MB Dual-Channel RAM
-Cable interent through Linksys WRT54G router (and Kerio had worked fine with this setup for several months)

Newbie-thanks in advance for any help.
