Did Insight Raise Prices?

Was looking on their website today and it said 50x faster then 56k was $79.95 not including modem rental and 384k upload Plus version was $99.95 not including modem rental.
My last bill was $44.95 for internet. Are they going to raise prices for everyone or just new sign ups?, or am I misreading the page?

thanks

There has not been a rate increase.

If you want a 2nd, 3rd IP. Why you wouldn't get a router instead, who knows.

DUH! I knew that.

Yeah, I don't get why someone wouldn't buy a router either. I am very glad that I have mine. NAT and the firewall are very nice.

Yeah, if Insight increases their price I will be asking where my speed increase is. I just hate playing on Xbox live and having my friends tell me I'm echoing.

The only reason I can think of for wanting multiple IPs in your home for Insight is so you and your siblings can play the same multiplayer game on the net since games are often one IP per player. The only problem with that being the upload speed is so slow for Insight with two people using the same line to play games, you'll probably ping out or get dropped anyway.

I have horrible lag and ping times with me just play Xbox live by myself! It's really bad here.

If they haven't increased prices then why does it say on their site $79.95 for basic net and $99.95 for the 384 plus version? Is it a typo on their site?

thanks

I just checked it says either $44.95 or $79.95..no changes here.

Wow, they still charge $135.00 to buy a modem from them. I bet they'd never let their customers know how cheap they can get one at CompUSA or basically any other computer store. By the way, I'm still seeing $44.95/$79.95. Maybe Insight is just ripping off your particular area?

thanks

That's what I see for your area.

I think the prices listed for your area are "messed" up. Look at the price of the "modem rental vs purchase".
