Aol never really built a decent web browser and somehow I doubt they'll do much better with Voip.

kudos:1 | I doubt that since they would only be able to offer it to time warner customers afaik, since cable operators who offer voip user a modem with an ata built in. »www.thestandard.com/people/inter···0407.php is a job ad for aol looking for voip staff. Just wish I can get into this trial since it will be something decent coming from my dad not giving up AOL

They are similar because AOL & Packet8 are both using Level3 as the local CLEC to provide the DIDs. |

Uh... yeah... right... they use MSIE. 
At least they've been providing a popup blocker for MSIE years before anyone else (MS, Yahoo, etc.) |

I am a AOL Beta tester in general. I don't know, they just selected me or maybe a few select beta testers to test the service out. I received my email that basically said: You are invited to test AOL VOIP...

They use a bastardized flavor of IE. ALso their browser usually pukes when it attempts to run JAVA. Their DNS name resolution blows big time. I know, I do web site support and have dealth with more AOL crap than I care to remember.

i just received my welcome kit from aol for the voip beta and it works GREAT. just as good as my current home phone line. im gonna tell sprint to F off and sign up with Vonage pretty soon. |

You know since I posted this, I have NOT gotten my kit? I guess I can forget about receiving it. LOL
If AOL is this lax about sending out kits, I can imagine how they are with providing CS fpor the VOIP.
