| reply to china crisis Thanks for the update! I've had the Platinum Radio subscription for over a year now and really enjoy it... I especially like the era radio where you can play music from any year you choose (1960's-now). -- "I would shake your hand but I'm out of wipes..." - Adrian Monk |

I love the way they separated On Demand from the Radio and want to charge for each individually now.
I was a platinum member for a year but if they think I'm paying 15 bucks a month for on demand plus all the radio features they are plum nuts.

| reply to china crisis None of my old skins will work with this version and the 3 that are available are awfully generic, ugly and not very user friendly.... And boy have they turned up the bloat -- Got a VAIO? Visit the Village:»www.vaiovillage.com |

I had the same problem so I wrote down my Plus registration key, uninstalled the 8.2 version of MusicMatch, went to »www.download.com/3120-20-0.html?···arch.y=8 and downloaded the basic MusicMatch 9.0. Entered my registration key, and I had MusicMatch Plus. --

1 edit | reply to china crisis This update also screwed up my IPod plugin... The plugin folder etc. remains as does the various other skins but they are not accessible by this "new" version.
Unfortunately I'm having a problem reinstalling the IPod plugin also other updates because of a glitch/error with the Windows installer that I can't seem to correct but that is a post for the MS Forum... -- Got a VAIO? Visit the Village: »www.vaiovillage.com |

Im trying the platinum radio right now. It is pretty nice, but I do disagree with the seperate pricing. I had Rhapsody for $10 a month and it included the on demand & radio service as one complete package. -- WinXP,Sophos AV, SpySweeper,Opera, Thebat & M2 for Email. |

You shouldnt need to uninstall your old version. After you purchase the update just launch your 8.2 and go to OPTIONS>UPDATE and you should get a button that reads PURCHASE UPDATE. There will be a place to enter in your new key. It will then update your 8.2 to 9.0. At least this was my experience -- WinXP,Sophos AV, SpySweeper,Opera, Thebat & M2 for Email. |

WOW, so I guess you can hear tracks by the dudes that played at Woodstock? Most of them have probably OD'ed by now. It would be like "Music from the Crypt"

Isn't that amazing? I think they have 13 Beatles tunes with some other lead singer. No REAL Beatles tunes. -- If you don't know where you're going, you'll end up someplace else. |

| reply to china crisis After being with MM for 5 years, I've had it. Platinum members were supposed to receive a lifetime upgrade. So much for that. WMA d'l's when you buy suck as well. Its back to winamp for me, with FREE music and a lot of the streams in CD quality. MM had a great idea when they started but to pay almost $100.00 a year to listen to music? I'll pass. Wont be long before we have to pay for quality TV signals. LOL Just kidding, its already happening and dont you dare try to record it So long MM, you were good, but now you suck. |

Yes, I saw that too. It seems that with most other artists that there's a very good selection. I think Michael Jackson owns the rights to most Beatles tunes and probably wanted too much for the right to use them... who knows. It's a good thing I already own every Beatles CD. As for the 90-some dollars a year subscription to OnDemand, it comes to about $8 a month (about a quarter a day). The fact that you have instant access to over 650,000 songs (no Beatles, though) really doesn't make it a bad deal, IMO. -- I could be wrong, now... but I don't think so! - Adrian Monk |
