Re: veloz, stop sign scumware comercials said by NeOm: Hi,
I am an employee. This in no way constitutes a legal statement, nor am I representing it as 100% factual, I am merely stating my observations and the facts as far as I know them.
I would like to add some comments, if I may.
1) If you know how to use Windows' add/remove programs, you can remove our software.
2)Why take the word of our competitors, (many of whom break our uninstall), that we are malware. Programs like ad-aware (which is a great free program) and spysweeper, spybot will destroy files essential to the removal, making it difficult to remove. EVEN THEN, customers, and non-customers, can call any one of our 1-800 numbers, and we will guide them to a link to completely clean whatever files still remain. There are major AV companies that DO NOT offer such a courtesy.
3) Have you ever tried the free scan? If you have, you will note you are prompted for every compnent you are installing. Nothing is "snuck" onto your computer. You can always, always choose not to download.
4) Our target is not people who know alot about computers, therefore our system must be simple. Ever try to download I-tunes? They load you up with all sorts of programs, for the sake of simplicity.
5) Our target is not for people who know alot about computers. This is why we offer free, unlimited 1800# phone support for our VIP plans, whilst our competitors will charge by the minute.
6) I have read so many libelous statement on so many websites, I do not know where to start. But I will tell you this, wqe do make money, we have a large customer base, and they LOVE us, because we take the time to help them, and treat them all with extreme care. Any rip-off artist AV company wants to get rich by printing the software, and collecting the money, as do most major AV companies. We are the only company, that if you have the VIP level with us, (which is priced very competitively), that will guide you through removing Cool Web Search.... Something even the major AV's will charge you to get rid of... even though their software cannot.
7) Lawsuits... how does getting sued in any way implicate a company as being evil, or nefarious? Notice how the company ... oops I mean Law Firm, suing us is also suing very reputable companies. Please look around and understand, lawsuits are a normal part of being a profitable company. Lawyers are represented as sharks for a reason.... they tear out chunks from any one who is in this giant ocean we call the American economy.
Cheers
yes so you have a vested intrest to defend yoru product. 1 or realy thats intresting i had eanthology on my computer from when i use to play vircoms t4c no add remove entry at all. Ive been buildign repairing and cleaning scum ware (like stop sing aka veloz aka eanthology) off computers sense 93. 2 your competitors products realy work thats simple enough i think 3 your advertisements pray on those who do not know what they are doing so that your advertisers pop ups and other various adds are seen by more to put more money in your own pockets. So they will click yes because they think your product is something it is not. 4 same as 3 you pray on those sorts of people because they dont know any better. 5 ive talked to your phone support they gave me the run around i finaly laughed and hung up as their instructions were all but bs. 6 your customer base has been scammed in to thinking your product protects them when in fact it doesnt. Ive cleaned up the viral messes it misses like happy 99 harmless ill agree but cih and opas isnt both were missed by stop sign. Uninformed customers will always sware by a product untill they find out its no good. 7 when a company has class action law suits filed against them theres a reason for it. Generaly its over things such as not delivering on promises refuseing to give a refund over chargeing credit cards for bills and other various isues includeing but not limited to false advertiseign veloz aka eanthology aka stop sign fits some of the above easly maybe all of them.

It isn't a flame, it is a rebuttal. When someone who represents a company that makes spyware tries to defend their company's actions on a security related website or forum, such a response is appropriate. In the past, people from companies with less than trustworthy security or privacy reputations have tried to defend them, without success.
When a company employs such tactics as deceptive and aggressive marketing, activeX drive by downloads, refers to antispyware products as attackware, charges money to remove what it may find, and markets itself as a legitimate security product when it isn't, there is no defense. -- "Kayura or Badamon, whichever you are, you should know that I will never give up this battle.
