have a few questions...does only rogers give out the 20 dollar discount for a docsis 2.0 modem and also where else can i get a broadband modem (looking into the motorola surfboard SB5100) if i can still get a discount wit some1 else? |

unfortunately the $20 rebate is over. It might come back in the future though. The only other place to get a cable modem to work with rogers is futureshop (but its the same price as purchasing from rogers). |

1 edit | reply to wickeddude12 Don't waste your time/money. Unless something has changed, Rogers still provisions their modems at a warehouse somewhere, so unless you are close friends with big Ted, your store bought modem will not work on Rogers' network.
A Rogers store is your best bet, but call in advance-they're often out of modems. You also may have to harrass pretty hard to get the modem you want-no guarantees of anything.
EDIT: Well, Future Shop is currently selling Rogers modems. You might try there, though I'd phone in advance.
