What do we require from you?
Nothing really, just that you link us back with our little button there on the right column. Also, we don't care how many hits you get, and as long as your layout is half decent, you'll be accepted. Also, it'd be apprecieted if you maintain a good communication with us by being (semi)active on our forums. And, we do not allow copyrighted material (that you do not own), child pornography, or beastility (I'd have to check on that one haha ) on our servers, if we find this on your account, we will suspend you right away, and report the files to the appropriete authorities. (We'd talk with you first of course). If you need further info on what we mean by "copyrighted material" please ask.
How do I sign up?
To anybody looking for free hosting here at hypreed, you should be aware that we do not setup from applications anymore!
It is all automated now, and you NEED A forum account.
To prevent the "come and go"/"leechers", you require a minimum of 50 posts to be able to use this feature!

How long will you host me for?
For as long as Hypreed is up, which is to be determined by the users, if the activity level of hypreed dies down to a point where noone talks for weeks or days, and continues, it might get shut down, due to the lost of interest. Which is why you gotta keep it active.
How many accounts am I allowed to have; Is there a limit on how many hosting accounts being given away?
No, there isn't, we're giving away as much as possible. But we might stop at a date, so get yours before we do stop, and let your friends know!

Of course, but I think they mean that if server resources are avaible you can use them.
I was hosting few popular movies with them (30MB+ per movie) and used up over 120GB that month(collegehumor/entensity linked).
No complains from them ;-D.

Well I currently use 40GB of space and 2TB of bandwidth. I'll sign up and post 50 messages. Hope you can handle me. This is a good offer but it's wise to just set a space and bandwidth limit. Anyway, maybe I'll look into your hosting. |

It`s a very good deal!!
Speeds on the servers are wicked! i get 90kb/s from them and thats my max!! from UK!
I think they can handle all the space as they have alot of people signed up and they have no probs |

I don't yet know of a hard drive with unlimited capacity, so even though they're offering unlimited there's still a limit to what they can hold. Unless they plan on just adding drives indefinitely as they fill up. Bandwidth costs money too.
Any host that offers unlimited anything is just banking on the fact that most people won't use nearly as much as what they're allotted. I'd rather go with a host that has more realistic offering based on what they can afford to sell without straining resources.
Actually, I did host with a company that offered unlimited storage once. It was around 1999 or so, and it was called Simple|Net. They had a pretty logical explanation for how they could do it, simply saying that they noticed 95% of their customers used above a certain amount. The remaining 5% or so balanced it out. Simple|Net eventually became assimilated into Yahoo! Web Hosting, but it looks like they're back on their own now: »www.simplenet.com/ They don't do unlimited storage anymore though. |
