Signed up in April with SBC/PacHell, was told I was 17k feet at that time and that 384/128 was no problem. In 3 months, I never speed tested above 325/111. Now, after complaining enough to get a tech out to my house, who said they would put me on a different loop, I am being told that I am 19k feet away and that SBC just won't provide me service at all because of the distance. The Tech rep I talked to says I should try to get in on Project Pronto, but, from reading these discussions, I have a bad feeling it's gonna be a long while...  |
