| Any word on the pricing?
My guess is.. with Cox.. you'll still pay the same for the speed you have now as a 'lite' tier, or in Cox's case, Cox Express.. and for every speed bump we're gonna get a price bump. Glad I've left Cox for a local municpal cable company.. same d/l as Cox Express, but 384k up, and they provide the modem for the same price Cox wants for having to buy a modem (or 10$/mo to 'rent' one).
If anyone has info on the pricing levels I'd be interested... -- Ever try stuffing a melted marshmellow up a wildcat's ass? It can be done, but you have to like your job. - This Is The Way The World Ends by James Morrow - Join a DC club, it can't hurt you! |

| No, the price ($40)stays the same but you get upgraded to 4000 kbps d/l and 500kbps upload. If you want 5mb d/l and 750k upload (priemer service), you pay a extra $15 so the total comes out to $55. Now I bought the modem so I dont pay for the rent so if you rented it, it be $65. |

I am 100% for LUS but if they dont get it to pass at least it got Cox off its stagnant ass and given up an upgrade out of it. Now if they would stop the propaganda.
So far so good.
Called in upgraded to the fastest connection.
2004-08-27 11:52:49 EST: 4320 / 739 Your download speed : 4423758 bps, or 4320 kbps. A 540 KB/sec transfer rate. Your upload speed : 757378 bps, or 739 kbps.
Havent seen it hit the 5MB Barrier yet but can't be that picky. I am going to try this for a little while. If I feel like I am bottle necking on the server side of things I am going to down grade to the 3MB service. |
