Help With My Wireless Setup

I have my 2wire connected to my pc by ethernet but I am having trouble setting it up on my laptop. I am using an HP ze5375us with a Lan-Express 802.11b. The 2wire network isn't showing on my list of available networks. Here is my 2wire wireless statistics..
Transmit: 115413 bytes 1495 packets 86 errors 5%
Receive: 178828 bytes 0 packets 0 errors 0 %

SSID is enabled, but the laptop is not picking it up.

Please help Thanks

Five percent transmit errors on wireless is bad.

Reload the firmware.

Go to »homeportal/tech/upgrade.html
follow the prompts
recovery image is in the utils\recovery folder

If the issue is persistent after that contact your service provider for a replacement.

Okay I did all that, and i messed around with the laptop, apparently a service was disabled that allowed me to configure my wireless settings. I am not able to detect the 1000hw SSID, but that about it. The laptop says that I am connected, but I can't really access the internet. Homeportal only shows my PC (ethernet connection) connected and not my laptop (wireless). My wireless states show that it is transmitting packets with 0% error, but it is not receiving any packets. Any further suggestions? Thanks.
