ok i just got this and when i click on my firewall in the securityCenter it says Perrsonal FireWall Plus and when i click about to see the version it give me version 5.0.5.7 i thought it would be version 6 since securitysuit is veriosn 6 or am i missing somthing here???

are they the latest versions because it sayss 2004 on the box but does not say veriosn 6 as my firewall????

I have version 5.0 as well, and thats what the McAfee website says you'll get, at least if you buy the McAfee Internet Security Suite.

It's a little confusing, the program itself is called Internet Security 6.0, but the firewall component of this program is version 5.0.

I've tried updating at least a dozen times the past few days, says i'm completely up-to-date. By chance are you running Windows XP and Internet Security 6?

i'm in the same boat. my firewall plus is also 5.0.5.7 and not 6 and updating says I am current. if you figure out how to update to version 6 please let me know

oh i guess also i should ask what's different in 6 than in 5, I'm assunimg it's a major change?

The only differences I've noticed so far,is the interface color changed, and events reported to hackerwatch are much faster.

great thanks a lot! I just breezed through the mcafee forums but didn't see anything regarding it though I may have missed it

edit: I don't know if this is anyway helpful but recently mcafee security center updated and changed color(it's now RED). One interesting thing though which may be of help is when I open(click) on the firewall button from inside secruity center its still read but then when I click "about" the new screen that pops up is BLUE as it was before. Again sorry if this nothing but I thought maybe it was something that might help

Hey pkeech, my events are automatically reported to hackerwatch, org, but whenever i try and find my reported events on hackerwatch.org, it says i haven't submitted any which isn't true. How about you?

check out mcafee you can now buy many 2005 versions online like virus scan and firewall. after updating everything virus scan lists as 9.1.0 and firewall is 6.0.6104 or something so far though i don't see anything new but I haven't really checked it out
