Jobs hard to find for North Texas tech workers

Sad but true..
i'm just lucky that i landed this job in this tough period..

said by Dalls Business Journal:
North Texas technology workers who are unemployed are having a hard time finding jobs because, ironically, they have too much education and are too well-educated, according to a recent study.

The North Texas Technology Council and the University of Texas at Arlington surveyed laid-off tech workers and found that 45 percent of the 573 who answered the survey are still out of work and have been that way for an average of 14.7 months.

And just in case my boss is reading this, I love my job!!!

And extremely lucky to have avoided the pink slip during the tough times, which is ironic considering I was pink slipped twice during the dot.com boom.

Thankfully, I'm not "too well-educated" . Even so, I was layed-off twice in my first 3 years living in Texas. What a sucky way to start civilian life after 14 years in the AF. Too many people imported to do jobs, then too many jobs exported = a bad combination for US workers.
