Does anyone else use anyxhost.com? They've been down for days and I have my site hosted there. (Free account). All other sites hosted there are down as well. Have they gone out of business? I'd really hate to move my site elsewhere.........again! |

I would suggest giving the technical contact for the domain name a call, but it looks like they've used a proxy to register the domain:

I would file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau along with Attorney General in New York. If you paid money, then you have every right to complain if your not happy.

It's just the fact that it's a bit out of the ordinary for a host to suddenly one day not load and all pages gone. Even for free ones I've had in the past they've emailed you and let you know.

I don't really agree with that statement...nowadays anyone can be a webhost...There is NO guarantee that they'll be here tomorrow.
That's why this forum is here. To help people find a host that suits their needs and help people avoid scams.
Remember, you get what you pay for, and while it's not always fair when you put your trust in a host that disappears overnight, it's a learning experience. |

| As a guy with no credit, I'm now thinking of going with Yahoo's discounted business hosting. (They'll charge my phone bill.) It's a little more expensive and has fewer options, but..................................they have been around for awhile and I'm not afraid I'll be left high and dry............again. I can get a discount on the service because I'm a SBC/Yahoo DSL subscriber. |
