Great info, for those who are looking down the barrel of this thing and will need it.

Just one suggestion: If you're in that group, copy and print this stuff now. It ain't no good if you are without power/internet and need it.

Good luck to everyone ... it's getting real interesting now.

Florida Power and light information

Optimized See Profile I think this link fits here - if not, feel free to remove;

Florida Power and Light, has a lot of useful and current information on outages as well as contacts. Outage map referenced on home page.

»www.fpl.com/

More specifically,

»www.fpl.com/storm/contents/index.shtml

Tips on power lines could be life saving. (Stay off streets with downed lines. They often show no indication of being live and current drain through water or wet soil can be fatal. Even small currents in the 50 - 150 Milliamp range can cause ventricular fibrillation. )

As KeysCapt See Profile said here, print info in case you lose internet or power...

I've re-opened this thread for links to emergency info only.

If you have one to add - that's not already listed -post it

This thread is not for hurricane discussion, please, just for resources to information, state specific.
