People should read reviews before they buy

If people were to actually read the reviews or search the forums, they would find out which routers are crap and which ones are worth buying. Before I bought my Linksys WRT54GS I read the forums about user experiences with the product, and found out the only way to go with a Linksys is to use the 3rd party firmware because it solves many wireless disconnect issues.

I have had no problems with my wireless hardware, and it currently has a 24 day up-time.

And would you have bought your wireless router if there was no 3rd party firmware?

But we did read the reviews !
Look at Tom's hardware page, the Netgear FWAG114 was supposedly the best router in its class.
And even after all those problems, I still don't see any corrections on his page where he talks about those problems.
Apart from that, every router you read about had a few problems with a couple of applications.
If I had known this kind of information beforehand, I would have never bought this router in the first place.
I did not know this site before my purchase.
If I had known it I certainly would have made a different choice !
