Anyone Upgrade NAV 2003 to 2005?

Has anyone upgraded from nav 2003 to 2005? I'm trying to find out if you have to uninstall the 2003 version first, or if the upgrade process uninstalls it for you. Any other comments about the process would be appreciated.

I believe Symantec ALWAYS recommends uninstalling prior versions before installing new.

You can install right over 2003 and newer nav versions, and transfer your existing options settings.
Earlier versions must be un-installed before installing 2005.

Thanks for the input. Has anybody performed the 2003 to 2005 upgrade? How did it go?

I upgraded from nav 2002 to 2005 with out any problems on a XP Pro machine with SP1. Had to uninstall 2002 first. The install went without a hitch.

I have done 2002 to 2003 and 2003 to 2004. You should always unistall all past nav before you install. Don't forget to un-install live update also.

Just my opinion.

Upgrading should be fine. There's a small chance that it might not upgrade well. I even upgraded NSWP 2004 to NSWP 2005 with its nav without any issues on my old P3 1 Ghz production machine with Windows 2000 SP4.
