FireFox icon..

It is an ad, it should not be there on premium accounts with the ads turned off. Please provide an option to turn this ad off.

It's not an ad, it's an endorsement. You see all those sites with "build for IE" logos? Think of it that way.

Before you locked my previous thread, I had this response to that message:

Those sites only list it on one page usually, the homepage. This is on EVERY page, I have NEVER seen a forum with anything like that on every page. There's no reason why you can't turn it off. Have it on by default, and make an op-out.. no reason there shouldn't be one.

You see this line on every page as well, but I've yet to see complaints:

I think just about every single feature on this site has generated a request for an opt out, I believe we would be on page 100 of opt-out settings by now if we complied with every request.

Sorry, you may not like it, others will, that's life.

I agree with nil See Profile on this one..

Besides, it's just a 110x32 pixel image. Appears on every page, just like the NAC endorsement, as removed See Profile pointed out.

Text, fine, whatever.. images, no..

I think it's an insult to anybody that paid to have no ads on DSLR.

And I hate those just as much, if not more. Personally I've always found designing a site for one specific browser to be kind of tacky.

I'm sorry you feel that way. I'm a `paid' premium user, and it doesn't bother me at all.

Personally, I think it looks out of place and I noticed it immediately, but it doesn't bother me.

Too bad the image is local on i.dslr.net or I'd suggest adding a HOSTS entry (or whatever the equivalent is on the Mac) to block out the image.

i strongly object, text ads that dont break the color of the themed page is negligible... but ugly ass *AD* images.. no. i paid for no ads, and i want no ads... if you implemented it in a way where its separate from the normal ads, make a opt out option in the user panel... or give every single member that paid for no ads, their money back.

i would have thought a respected place like dslr wouldnt go against their written word

Sign.

It seriously wouldn't be that hard to have this one opt out.

It's an eyesore, and I for one am tired of people trying to cram firefox down my throat. I don't to use it, I never will, and that's that, end of story

As I posted here: »Firefox

It's an endorsement by DSLR, not unlike this page. I guess if the `powers that be' decided that they liked IE or Opera that they would put something there.

It's really not worth getting bent out of shape over.
