What is it with the MS bashers of this world that have to drag a thread to its condescending limits. You and all the others are just way to into conspiracy theories.
On the article linked if they were that worried they will make it auto sensing to the OS and allow it to be usable with Linux. In a worst case scenario.

they have billions of dollars and hundreds of lawyers for that

BS.... I have notriced the same trend monitoring the stats on my own web site.
Maybe not all Mozilla too, but a big increase in non M$ browser use.

I use linux and dont even touch the command line....:(
It was hard to use back in 199X....this is 2004 things have changed.

[opinion] cringley is an idiot and hasn't had anything valuable to add to the computing press business in years. Posting a link to his site only increases the visability of his drivel, but also makes him, and his "handlers" think he's more popular than he is.
I'm sure I'm not the only person ever to *cancel* a *free* subscription to InfoWorld merely because they continue to promote this twit.
