| reply to Major_A Re: VMware with Mac OS 10.3
VMware for the x86 achitecture (Intel or AMD) emulates a x86 computer. Windows and Linux will run on x86 achitecture. Apple's Mac OS will not run on x86 achitecture, it runs on the PPC (PowerPC) achitecture. You cannot run Mac OS in VMware.
However, very recently there has been a program called PearPC which emulates the PPC achitecture so you can run the Mac OS on your x86 computer. However, PearPC is still in it's infancy and still Beta, and is considered unstable. In addition, PearPC requires a lot of work for it to function. It's not for the faint of heart, or those who don't know what they are doing. -- less talk, more music |

Not going to work. VMWare is for x86 operating systems only. If you want something to emulate OS X on windows, look at pearPC. It's in the early stages, but it runs and should be steadily getting faster and better.
