Re: Sick of these?

sorry. that is a minimum of two years away. i'm a former vz
employee. i talked to a vz 2nd liner last week. dracut and woburn mass are getting fttp now. vz has thrown a hundred extra outside plant techs into massachusetts for the job. i don't know why these two communities were picked. call some one at vadi and ask them why. 4017211200

Problem is normal people don't see this as what it is. a test. a test of new technology their tests may lead to a break threw that provides even 1 gig links to your house. How would you like to not hear about any technology which may lead to a new break threw?

Thought so.

actually, i couldn't care less. just wake me up when verizon's offering straight fiber to EVERYONE'S house in the USA

They can't offer it in places where they are not the local telco.

never say never... there was a time when no one would ever have dreamed of our current level of information technology. We will see very high speed connections in the home... eventually.

Is anyone else sick of hearing about these "speed" records? What good is it doing anyone? I don't see my speeds getting faster, and cheaper from this, does anyone else?
Seems to me, there is lots of money out there in the world, and no ons is using it to make the internet better and faster for everyone else. Maybe I am missing something?

i agree totally with gatorkram, let us know when it applies to us at home!

I definitely co-sign, we are never gonna get these technologies, let alone get them at a cheap price. Overseas got connections similar or even better then us for crazy deals. These damn companies keep filling our head with cotton filling. Just do it & give us fullfillment in speeds, not yap yap.
