Im liking the spreading of firefox, especially when they hit that 1 million download mark early. Everyone needs to help spreading the word. Everyone needs to do what they can to spread it to more people and help rid the world of this evil virus code named Internet Explorer.
Ye Firefox is a great browser.

What i don't understand is how has IE survived till now, when you have many FREE SUPERIOR browsers out there like firefox and Opera ?
By the way what happened to MSN Explorer ? are they still planning to include it in the future.
I like the "evil virus code" expression.
Well I guess Mozilla and Firefox never got such a big push til recently...As far as MSN browser, I thought you needed to be a member of MSN to use it. Atleast thats what it told me on time i went to install it |

well now, test more? thats brillant! why didt microsoft do that? well why dont you go through the millions of lines of code that is windows and try to fix bugs? windows is a great os, windows xp is rock solid and they have done a dam good job. but the problem is not ms, it people like you that like to whine about every little thing. i dont think i have had a piece of software that does not require to be updated. noone complains when thier new game gets a patch. windows is more complex than most of the other software out and is tasked with more, therefore there are bound to be more bugs. like i said to someone else, if you despise microsoft so much go use something else so you wont have to deal with them.
Well first of all i am forced to use MS cos its compatible with everything i have,
I HAVE used a linux distribution and i actually plan to partially switch over to it once i learn more about its usage and commands. Even though i will be forced to keep my Windows OS for games and shit.
and why should i test the software ?? I am the one who pays Microsoft NOT the other way around.
"XP IS ROCK SOLID" ?? You must be joking. Maybe it seems solid to you since you probably don't run more than 1 program at one time.
I agree that's it more stable than previous version but they've got a LONG LONG way to go...
I don't see the point of defending a monopoly, Bill Gates is not going to benefit you.
It is people like you who have allowed Microsoft to reach this point by accepting everything they throw at you and not having the GUTS to complain.
way to go cyrus |

Ok...We start with Windows 95, then 98a 98b and/or 98SE(with possible revision's released), Windows NT(I forget is there were service packs), Windows ME, Windows 2000 including 4 service pack updates and now Windows XP with 2 service packs.

old and never used? There is a WHOLE new generation of war dialing happening right now. A friend of mine has over 100k bots and atleast 20k have a dialup modem installed with phoneline still attached. Give me your phone number and I could have 20k phone from all over the world calling you 24/7

Theres a reason cars have seat belts, and why you can get home owners insurance, enough said. I only hope you can see how ignorant you are
sure you can have my phone number but i have no modem, and i doubt your friend has 100k bots with 20k he actually calls up over phone lines. war dialing to me is a program used to dial out random or in some order of numbers trying to find a computer to connect to. this practice im sure is outlawed and watched by the phone companies. what your talking about is something totally diffrent. im not going to argue points(im ignorant remember?) but sense you are so smart why dont you go on over to microsoft and look over the millions and millions of lines of code and fix it since it seems to be so easy. -- Don't argue with an idiot, he will bring you down to his level, and win because of experience. |

You seem to lack the intelligence to understand what I said was simply my opinion. Have your opinion...whatever you want. When you dish out near $100 for the operating system, you should be getting something of quality not something that in all the right minds should have federal warning stickers stating that if you do not secure the product yourself, you risk getting your Identity, Credit card number(s) any or all personal information stolen. Or could get tangled into a web of having your computer hijacked to be used in illegal acts which include but are not limited to, Denial of service attacks, war dialing, password cracking and hosting illegal files such as copyrighted music and programs.

Besides just because you have an opinion does not mean we have to hear or read it. Your "opinion" was extremely ignorant cand childish and frankly would have better off being kept to youself.
People being ignorant and not protecting themselves is not the fault of microsoft. In fact if you had the MS firewall on you would not have got the Sasser worm. The tools are thetr, MS can't make you use them. |

People seem to forget that virus writers and the slime balls who make spyware do it to try and make the most impact for spyware tracking users to try and make them buy other stuff is a money gimmick. So they go after the biggest population to try and make the most money.
This forum in general is so biased against MS but yet 95% of you people use it. Turn off your windows machine and boot up linux. I am sure most of the linux users who know what they are doing will appreciate the how do I posts in the linux forums.
I wouldn't say that 95% of the people here are biased against microsoft. There is just a vocal group here, but I am sure you would find that a majority of the people here are not biased against one operating system or another. What worries me is if Microsoft somehow decides to make this spyware tool built into future windows editions. Just like the silly excuse for a firewall they put into Windows XP !!!
They are making other companies go bankrupt by monopolizing everything. IMAGINE IF in a 100 years the ONLY software company on earth is MICROSOFT !!!
