Re: [OT] anyone donate a car in CT? The IRS laws have changed on auto donations...check with your accountant first.
I donated a car 2 years ago...instead of the 'charities' pitching auto donation on the radio, I found a local organization that could actually get use out of my (still fully functional) donated car. |

they have changed but don't actually go into effect till next year.
now you get full value deduction to true value of the car. next year you get actually what the car "sells" for as the deduction. so when you give to a charity you will have to wait for auction to get a deduction price. now you can blue book it - repair cost and other "true value" deductions -- www.stopfcc.comI do not think the government needs to restrict free speech especially on a device that has an off knob. |
