?

This brings up a good point though as insane as it may sound. Like the Black Out of 2003, we keep adding too much we risk outages like that. And that's how the internet works, things are added all the time. I do begin to wonder.

the internet's been on the "fringe of collapse" for years. in the late 90s we had script kiddies DOS'ing every website possible, we had attrition.org listing newly hacked websites by the minute, we had credit cards being stolen and posted all over newsgroups and irc, we had trojans running completely rampant like BackOrifice, Netbus, and SubSeven...

if none of that brought the internet down, i don't see how any damn spam would.

The power grid has not changed substantially since the outage and yet power seems to have been restored to normal.

So if we were to follow your analogy the internet my suffer ups and downs but it will always come back up. Further, it would be up quite a bit more often than not.

Which is where we are at today with the internet, we do occasionally have problems and slowdowns, but it bounces back.

Well that won't happen until Haliburton get involved in internet infastructure.. could be 2006 is a long way off...
Bush may get re-elected, hell may freeze over, and Al-Gore may become president, all these things however improbable... may still yet happen.
Iraq may become more stable than say, California, Hnmm.. wait i'm on a roll here,
BTW: you want statistics: 1101 U.S. military personnel killed for Iraqi democracy.
Ok, I won't use a MasterCard cliche here because that would be just wrong..
But I WILL say that to vote for Bush, you really have to
be a TRUE believer in the Republican ideology and like EVERYTHING they've done and stand for..
You don't have to look at Michael Moore for your proof, find it out for yourselves in your objective eyes.. did the last four years go well for you or not?

FYI Michael Moore provides no "proof"... his wanna-be documentary disguised as a ffa bash-bush and saudi slugfest is the most ridiculous waste of time ever. He provides no proof to very few if any of his claims, and is constantly overtoning the pictures with idiotic retoric about bush this or bush that or bushes daddy this or that... pathetic by any standards.

Anyways, now that im done ranting, the article was a good laugh.
