Re: Verizon DSL & MSN Premium support

When I do that I get the following message when I try to download the firewall. The virus download works just fine. McAfee says it's not their problem - it's MSN's. MSN says call Verizon. . . .

This MSN Account has already been registered for this offer.

If you need access to your subscription of Personal Firewall Plus, click here to log-in and re-install from the download icon on your "My Account" page.

Re: Verizon DSL & MSN Premium support

Not sure if you still need help with this but I got this info from McAfee.com. REMEMBER TO DISABLE POP UP BLOCKERS or you will not be able to do this. Also don't use MSN Explorer. I can only get it to work with the normal IE.

How do I Install or Reinstall Personal Firewall/Plus from McAfee.com?

Summary: This article explains how to install or reinstall Personal Firewall Plus from McAfee.com. Follow the steps below to install it for the first time or reinstall it at anytime during your subscription.

Go to the McAfee homepage.
Click My Account.
If a Security Warning appears, click Yes.
If prompted, enter your registered email address and password. Click Log In.
Click the blue down arrow button in the 'Update/Download' column.
The Installation Wizard appears. Click Continue.
Note: If the wizard doesn't appear, click Start.
Wait while Personal Firewall downloads.
Once downloaded, the 'Welcome' dialog box appears.
Follow the installation prompts to install the product.
Click OK to restart your computer and complete the installation

it's McAfee. I work for Qwest, not Verizon and we see the same thing. The problem is your McAfee accnt... that's something MSN nor Verizon has any control over.

Re: Verizon DSL & MSN Premium support

Well I've received email from McAfee saying not their problem. MSN too. I will have to try Verizon I guess.

Re: Verizon DSL & MSN Premium support

Good luck. I can sign into MSN, and do almost everything but I can not get any of the Mcafee software, there is just " - " on the titles and not the arrows to download them. 1 Week dealing with tech support on this so far and counting. Like the rest of you, I keep getting passed from 1 department to the other.

Re: Verizon DSL & MSN Premium support

I have MSN Premium also but via Qwest instead of Verizon. No troubles here downloading/updating the firewall or Antivirus for whatever it's worth. I remember at one time I could only use IE6 to get the McAfee software. It works via the MSN Premium browser now though.
