He included Packet8. I'm not sure what their $20 plan is, but other VOIP providers at least do unlimited domestic calling at that rate.

$49 (all distance) + $20 ( 1.5/384 dsl ) + $10 (misc taxes and universal slush fund ) = ~$79

or

$52 ( 4/384 Comcast HSI ) + $20 (Packet8) = ~$72

So Comcast delivers over 3 times faster downloads and Packet8 offers more calling features for $7 less per month than SBC.

And Comcast is actually available in too rural for DSL Coloma township.
I would take a hard line phone line anyday over VOIP (if that is what Packet8 is) at this point. VOIP just isn't quite there for me.
