You need to upgrade Ad-Aware.

I only have the free version, but the version numbers are the same on free and pro. This is the latest release...(see pic).
As for what update you show, what happens if you download it?
EDIT: Uninstalled SE Personal, installed SE Pro...changed screenshot.

I got the same a you today doing the deed for the wife's 6.181 Build so i went to the lavasoft site download the reflist zip thing to the desktop..then dumped in the the adaware file..and it list the change on the app as being the one for 26 Oct 2004..ran adaware for a scan and all is fine.;)
You can get it here..just click where you see these word on the right side of the page.

Well that might be the last time we see one there to manually install..there are threads now at the lavasoft forum and here also at dslr..stating that Adaware Version 6 is no longer going to be supported so it is time to bite the bullet and install the SE..as I recall you can install SE even if you leave on the version 6..because they use an entirely differnet default folder for the install of SE..making that nice so that no real worries for those who install SE and wondering if they blew it by not uninstalling a version 6 first..:D and have a conflict.
But since you might no longer see even a manual zippy thing for version 6 any more..no reason not to uninstall it.
If you do..make sure you first read how to do that..if you have taken advantage of some of the immunize (block lists) features..etc etc to revert them back and then do the uninstall from the uninstall right there in the program..and then you will only have a the empty folder of Adaware to clean up with maybe only a few things left in it like the install.log which of course we all know must be in there in the first place for the unwise.exe( which is the uninstaller) to do it job..using that list it knows what to uninstall in the first place. Without it being there..one could not even use the add/remove programs to uninstall. The log is the record.

OK, while offering no contest that THE thing to do is to upgrade to SE, what happend with the old version? I'm getting a "definitions file missing or corrupted" message that seems like something that ought to be understood. Did Lavasoft stop updating the reference file for the old version, or truncate the file containing the last version? The "loading" screen goes to 5% then prematurely shows the "finish" button.

Copied reflist.ref 10/26/04 1347kb & reflist.ref.old from elsewhere and have a-a6 runnings again. Just trying to understand what broke.

Yikes! Tried to update again, noticed the file being offered to a-a6 is Build 0000001 26-oct-2002!

a-a6 runs nicely at boot and off the ms-scheduler. a-a-se seems to have removed support for the command line parms that allowed that. |

Yup the server is finished and you get no more..off the server..:)
Everything you just posted is a recap of what happens to anyone else who tries.. and for your last item if you hunt around the forum you will see a schedular made for SE that works just fine.
What broke is nothing except for the fact you can no longer get updates off the server for version 6 but since you tried to do it within the application..you ended up with the same everyone else will get if they try to do it..it just ain't there..and because of it..you ref is reverted back to 00001 thingie..my opinion why they are doing that.
1. for people to realize that it is time to get SE all who visit their support site and forum knew it was coming anyway and already have SE installed before the Holloween Shopping rush..:o
2. To stop wasting bandwidth from all those version 6 users who will keep on trying to update.
3. To the point where your version 6 might not even run since it could even make your existing ref file before 26-10-2004 not even funtion with version 6.
Not a bad idea to get your attention..and start getting the version 6 users to keep off the update servers.;)

Your right I don't know exactly what the heck is going on. What I do know is that I paid close too thirty dollars for a product, that fails when I click on update. Yes, I can do it manually, but the point is I shouldn't have to. If the update doesn't work, they should remove it, entirely from the interface, "what's the point on having it there?"
As for you (NameLame) you can K.M.A! Just be sure to stick your tongue out, as you do it.
