This station is just like Kiss without the annoying DJs if you ask me... -- One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors. -- Plato |

It went from being a cool dance station to totally ghetto.
I listened to it to hear new music mixed better and suitable for getting me in a good mood and energetic.
Now, it is just turning to crap. I actually listen to KDGE more often than it now. And that is saying a lot about the music. -- Note : The statements made by myself are my own and not the opinions of my employer or of my coworkers. 15.81 GHz Crunching Power | The Ryan Foundation for MPS Children |

JBinTX join:2004-05-11 Allen, TX | reply to Fobulous We've started to listen to 100.3 Jack radio. They carry a pretty good mix of newer, upbeat stuff, along with 70's and 80's rock. Nice diversion from all oldies or rap/hip hop |

 | reply to Fobulous I listen to the Edge most of the time now (102.1).
Sometimes I flip between 106.7, 106.1, and 100.3. But they're all so hit and miss now.
106.7 & 106.1 are ghetto most of the time it seems like, and 100.3--wow. Sometimes they play good stuff, but so much of the time it's like WTF?! -- my humble website: »www.utdallas.edu/~bal023000 |

Aggie DanStop... Reverse That.Premium join:2001-01-30 Frisco, TX | Yeah. I dance around the dial a lot now, too.
My main place is 105.3. But, when you hit a 30 minute commercial break, it can get kind of insane. Or when they are in the middle of a bit that just is NOT funny. Time to see what else is on.
I jump around between 100.3, 102.1 and 106.7. I'm in the target demographic for JackFM, but some songs are just a little too old for me still. 106.7 gets too ghetto at times as I said before. And I'd listen to the Edge more if it were... Well, edgier. -- Note : The statements made by myself are my own and not the opinions of my employer or of my coworkers. 15.81 GHz Crunching Power | The Ryan Foundation for MPS Children |

 | 105.3 is talk radio now, right? they used to be the best country station in the metroplex. I was very sad to see that change come about....
What does 100.3 consider their target demographic? I'm 28, and like you said, much of it is way before my time. -- my humble website: »www.utdallas.edu/~bal023000 |

Most of the stuff they play is on my iPod anyway. I like the station (no DJ's) and the music, but just not enough to make me give up the iPod... -- Thanks for reading! |

 | reply to Fobulous I gave up on Dallas radio and now subscribe to XM Radio. Much happier now. |

I only listened to the radio for 5 minutes to make sure that it worked. At least I know that if I need a fix of talk radio (which is rarely) the radio is there. |

 | reply to Fobulous poor college student here, so those options (ipod, xm, etc) are out for me. I don't even have a CD player.
Oh well, at least my '95 Saturn with 195,000 miles on it still gets me where I need to go. Most of the time. Burning lots of oil. -- my humble website: »www.utdallas.edu/~bal023000 |

 | reply to Fobulous I listened to 106.7 some over the past year, I'd turn it on the outside speakers in the backyard when I was in the pool because it never had commercials. Sure, their playlist was short, maybe 30 songs at most, but it was unique music for the DFW market.
It's only in the past few months that they changed their format from European club-dance music to ghetto trash. Ghetto trash music has always been a failure in DFW because advertisers buying commercial spots know that a ghetto listening base will not buy their products. There are too many ghetto-rap stations in DFW that have fizzled out due to this. |
