|  WGT624 v2 and Bellsouth Fast Access DSL (extreme)
I am replacing my old Linksys router with a Neargear WGT624 v2. I have keyed in all the right info into the new router but still I can not get connected to the Internet. Has anyone had similar problems with this router and Bellsouth fastaccess extreme or am I missing something ?

Try powercycling both the router and your modem. |

The fact is that BellSouth has some known issues...particularly in the way that they implement PPPoE and this is hardly the fault of the router manufacturer. The fact that Linksys works makes you lucky actually, but hardly in a position to dis Netgear.
I own an SMC2804WBRP-G, a Netgear WGT624v2, a Linksys WRT54G (with Sveasoft Alchemy RC1 v6) and a Linksys WRV54G. They all have their idiosynchracies but they all have their own particular strengths as well.
