The fact that Linksys works makes you lucky actually, but hardly in a position to dis Netgear.
I own an SMC2804WBRP-G, a Netgear WGT624v2, a Linksys WRT54G (with Sveasoft Alchemy RC1 v6) and a Linksys WRV54G. They all have their idiosynchracies but they all have their own particular strengths as well.
