| Can't get into the web interface on a 300G
I took my router out of the loop so it was my computer straight to the 300G, computer got an IP ok (the NIC's MAC address in that computer is registered with OCA). I tried browsing to 10.1.1.1, 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.1.1 with no luck, just a page not found error. Are there any other IPs I can try? should I try telneting in?
I'm at work now but i'll try any suggestions when I get home tonight. -- Join BroadbandReports.com's SETI@Home Team Don't let your computer's idle time go to waste! |

join:2003-11-19 Canada | reply to Liontaur I just downloaded a copy myself out of curiosity for my 300G.
My downstream rating is 800kbps.
I'm on the 1.5mg QuickConnect. Isn't 800kpbs supposed to say 1500kbps??

| I hit the upgrade button and got this...
do I really want to do this? I get a timeout when I try to backup the old firmware. Here's what i've currently got.

1 edit | reply to Liontaur Hey liontaur,
To get into the web interface, Open up your Network Adpater properties, and in TCP-IP, manually set your own IP addy, and put it as something like 10.1.1.5 and the subnet mask as 255.0.0.0 Then your default gateway as 10.1.1.1
Browse to 10.1.1.1 then it should ask you to login.. use
root as the username and orion99 as the password.
Thats how I can get into mine... You always have to set your ip manually as 10.1.1.x first to get into it. Good luck, and glad to have ya as one of the team. Hope Telus is good for ya.

| reply to Liontaur Oh, by the way... Would it be safe to upgrade the firmware? Is there any advantage? and/or would it mess anything up if I did upgrade? Mine seems ancient :P lol... -- ~There is no Normal or Abnormal... Just Diversity. I'm a Proud Telus User, with no complaints. |

| reply to Quentin Works good that way and thanks a bunch. Telus has been awesome so far, getting hooked up was easy as pie, the speeds are better then I had on cable and the pings are way lower too. My only complaint is that they don't have a faster residential package. -- Join BroadbandReports.com's SETI@Home Team Don't let your computer's idle time go to waste! |

I don't know about advantages but I do know that if I were you I wouldn't click that upgrade button until I got the present firmware backuped. And I still haven't been able to backup mine, it just that little blue bar just keeps on going from empty to full over and over (let it sit there for 10 minutes while I cooked up some grub). -- Join BroadbandReports.com's SETI@Home Team Don't let your computer's idle time go to waste! |

| reply to Liontaur Thats great to hear! Yeah, I wish they'd get in gear and upgrade their speeds, If they doubled all their plans, I'd be really happy... even just a bit to be more competitive with Rogers and such... but hey, I'm not complainin too much... I guess I'm happy I get good service from em as-is. -- ~There is no Normal or Abnormal... Just Diversity. I'm a Proud Telus User, with no complaints. |
