I have been running the DI-604 on one system, and now there is another desktop which I would like to connect to. The first box is connected via the router.
What changes to I have to make to my router and/or system to make it work? |

| Isn't the DI-604 a Dlink product (wrong forum) Why not just plug machine #2 into the router? The machines need to be on the same network to see each other. Unless you have omitted some details it is that easy. -- "I can't sing, I ain't pretty and my legs are thin." |

| Check your TCP/IP settings on the O/S on machine #2. Either assign a non-conflicting IP or if you are using DHCP on the router make sure PC2 is requesting IP via DHCP. Check your netmask ie 255.255.255.0 (which puts you on the same subnet).
Post the output from a command window for: c:>ipconfig -- "I can't sing, I ain't pretty and my legs are thin." |

| The problem is with the box and/or O/S... Per microsoft the error means:
This issue can occur if one of the following conditions exists: - Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) is installed, but it is not bound to any adapters.
-or-
- The TCP/IP stack is corrupted.
Check your TCP settings first, if not a re-install of the OS may be required. Make sure you have disconnected from any network before re-running ipconfig to verify. You may want to head over to the microsoft forum on BBR for help with this error. - It's not your router
