I don't like them

Especially when you have to wait for it to load a java applet or have to download some strange plug in. Plus if I am surfing at night I don't like to have to find the control to turn them down so I won't wake up those who sleep.

It works like this, don't install any video playing controls for the browser.

I don't pay my ISP to see AD's. The same reason I don't watch TV any longer.

Truth be told, I don't. I do however have Java installed on my system and have I have Flash also. And since that is what a lot of the videos use I am up the creek unless I either unistall them or block all flash/shockwave objects and all java applets.

If you are using Firefox, install the FlashBlock plugin:
»flashblock.mozdev.org/

This plug stops the Flash file from playing and puts a placeholder with a play button in the center. If you want to see the animation, just click inside the placeholder.
