Is it really Verizon doing this?

Or is it out-sourced subcontractors?

I guess it's subcontractors but Verizon is owner of the line and may have to pay for damages.

Florida has one of the nation's worst Utility On-Call systems, providing utilities and competitors a difficult challenge to be able to locate their facilities (the paint on the ground). On top of that, with the very high water table, it is difficutlt to get a decent tone on the cables and lines to locate them properly.

This is nothing new new Florida. If you researched any utility doing work in Florida, along with any other state, the number of utility strikes in Florida are nearly 50% higher than outside.

This has nothing to do with Verizon, their subcontractors - it is the support systems and geographic issues.....

FIOS, in a state that still can't properly count votes?
Oh,boy here we go again....Did bellsouth pull out of FL or is it only in certain areas? Still actual deployment is well into 2005, maybe 2006...
