Re: This just in from the Verizon Press Office.......

your a retard, the funds are from investors in verizon, not from the goverments or any other places. When they break a pipe they will have to pay for it, that in turn means a higher bill for the customers to offset the cost of replaceing the pipes. I don't use verizon but I can tell you this I would rather they do it right the first time than have to pay more money to do it over again. If this had been a muni tax payer scam like some people wanted I am sure they would have continued to dig away breaking every pipe they can so they could milk more cash from the tax payers. You should give 2 secs of thought before you post such nonsense.

Why are people complaning about getting fiber already? What is wrong with you guys? SBC says 26 mbps for 18 million people in a few years and nothing but complaints about the slow 26mbps speeds. I suggest you filter your water and lay off the pills.

justncredible works for RR or SBC. cause for some reason anything that comes up with a fiber system for the public he starts ranting and raving over it.

he did it with the Iowa story and now again with this story with VZ.

it maybe better that VZ is doing it but they have a higher risk of blowing up a neighborhood by hitting a gas line and breaking it than what the Munis have with failing.

Didnt we all learn never play with gas.

Hardly any gas lines in tampa. Almost all homes run on electric heat for the whole 2 months that the temp drops below 80. They are hitting water lines for the most part.

You might want to look around a bit. There is a lot of natural gas in Hillsborough County.
