Back in the day when I lived at home my folks had phone troubles. They called 611 from a neighbour's house and literally within an hour a tech was out to fix the problem. My experience recently? "Oh, we'll send someone around tomorrow between 12 and 5".

But I digress.
Oddly, they used to have better service when they were a monopoly.
