Torrentbits isn't the only down at the moment. Liquidtorrent.org and dvdr-core.org are also down. Anyone find any other sites? Can't even get to slyck.com to see if anything is goin on. |

Redbeard is Swedish. The server is in the Netherlands but so was shareconnector.
It's the MPAA working in cooperation with the local authorities that are shutting down servers.
Not sure what happened to Torrenbits but it doesn't look good. |

It is very strange that I get the same error when connecting to torrentbits, liquidtorrents and dvdr-core.org.
Definetely it is not a casual circumastance that all of the three are down at the moment. |

I hope they don't lose all the user information. I don't think I even remember my password (ever since they got h4x0r3d and I was told to change my password).
These sites are great, but the membership limit is a real pain in the arse. |

Anyone have an update on TorrentBits? I noticed the trackers and website go down when I woke up yesterday (late morning), so its been nearly 24 hours! I hope its not offline for good.. |

I was monitoring several of the IRC channels most of the morning. There was only rumors, no discussion by anyone who really knew what was up.
As of a few minutes ago, even the IRC channels seem to be down, or at least full. I can no longer connect to the server.
It's not looking good, but most of the members don't know what is up.

You are both very correct. I'm very disappointed. TB was on of my favorite places. I spend a bunch of time there AND maintained an excellent ratio.
Even the IRC channel is not accepting connection any longer.
There was no place like it.
Big time bummer.
I'm also somewhat disappointed in that they haven't told us, the members, anything. It's all rumors. Even the last couple days on the IRC was just rumors. No one would say what was really up.
Anyhow, I'm continuing my search for what has happened. I'll let ya know if I find anything new.
