Verizon Bouncing Cox Email?

I know Verizon has been struggling to close open relays and are having
problems.

They recently implemented (incorrectly) a sender authentication service that is blocking many senders, legit and other wise.
It looks like mail sent from my Cox account is now being bounced as well.
This came back in a Cox "Mail System Error":
quote:
Reporting-MTA: dns; lakermmtao03.cox.net
Arrival-Date: Sat, 18 Dec 2004 20:24:54 -0500
Received-From-MTA: dns; xxxxxx (68.225.xxx.xx)

Final-Recipient: RFC822; xxxxx@verizon.net
Action: failed
Status: 5.1.1
Remote-MTA: dns; relay.verizon.net (206.46.170.12)
Diagnostic-Code: smtp; 550 You are not allowed to send mail:sc008pub.verizon.net

fwiw (and it's not worth a lot), mail you sent on 12/13 DID arrive---yesterday, the 18th!

maybe it was so funny, it took verizon that long to read it, pass it around the office, and send it on

thank heaven for IM on dslr!

Looks like it's working today, in spite of the subject line.
Thank you coxengr for looking in!
