Re: ethernet-ready devices

"You can get them online that way. You just have to call tech support and get the mac address put on the account rather than registering it yourself."

Is this a change in protocol? We used to be able to register new devices with no problem. When I got my VOIP adapter earlier this year. I had no problems registering the device on my own. My current setup is the VOIP adapter is registered and everything else is connected to it. So the router is behind that device etc. Since the VOIP adapter has QOS enabled it sits out front. I've not had any issues with this setup. Or with the device not being properly registered on the network.

I get this off course.

"Account Registration Status

But if memory serves me correctly. It's always stated that last part in one way or another.

Edit - with further reading I see my first question has been answered.

And second - Iggy isn't the end all be all. But the FAQ at the top of the page here and others may be. Depending on the day. My attempt at weak humor - ignore it - it'll go away. The actual Insight provided help page is a wealth of info as well. They honestly don't get as much credit as they should for that page. It's easy to use and actually helpful.

If it will let you manually register then either way will work. I was simply giving an option.
