Re: This shouldn't be an issue

BUt in the current posts, as they are right now, combine the sig with the avatar and you can immediately see why it was taken the way it was.

When the sig says "I do not trust Firefox. Spread anything besides that horrid piece of crap." and the avatar states to "Spread the world's most popular browser", one can see just how easy it is to link the two.

I thought he was responding (admittedly off-topic) to the sig
The sig (which won't be showing up in future posts) says nothing about using IE.

Why do this? He likes one browser, you like another: why make it a religious war?

...neither the posting tag nor avatar you were responding to are preserved over time, so if either one of them changes eventually, your flame will be seen as devoid of any context whatsoever.
I thought he was responding (admittedly off-topic) to the sig, which is permanent (unless it's edited later to remove the context).

Besides, with some it *is* a religious war as far as Microsoft is concerned.

Of course the irony here is that Jeremy speaks of Sunbelt: "They're just being greedy, and attempting to cash in on this publicity." Many would agree that Microsoft is in this same category of corparate behavior. Hey, all they're trying to do (Sunbelt) is make a few bucks.

Said elsewhere, accurately, "Pot. Kettle. Black."

So I guess we are being censored on our opinions now too. I see that DSLR is getting to be a place where you can only say what other people think you should.

And if some other company had bought something that Microsoft had a stake in, Microsoft wouldn't do the same thing??
Maybe they would, maybe they wouldn't. But that's not what's at issue here, so it really doesn't matter what Microsoft would do.

Back to the subject of this thread...
I totally agree with Jeremy. Sunbelt is just going for a payday on the wings of some publicity or a judge that's about as informed as alien9999999. Leave it to some idiot company to try to ruin something that could be good. I was anxious to see what came of this great tool after Microsoft got hold of it. Now I guess I'll have forgotten about it by the time the courts finish dragging their asses on it.
And if some other company had bought something that Microsoft had a stake in, Microsoft wouldn't do the same thing??

And you also evince a certain lack of awareness for "context": neither the posting tag nor avatar you were responding to are preserved over time, so if either one of them changes eventually, your flame will be seen as devoid of any context whatsoever.

Lol! One of "those virus writers?". "Easy for worms to sneak in?" I think you're "one of those" people who needs a license to use the internet.

why do you want people to use IE? You must be one of those virus writers! you want people to use it because IE is easy to use for worms to sneak in!
